Ferrari To Launch New Hybrid Supercar This Month

Now, we have some interesting developments regarding the next hybrid supercar from Ferrari, which is set to be unveiled later this month.

Ferrari's CEO Louis Camilleri let out some interesting details about the upcoming hybrid supercar while holding the company's 2019 Q1 financial call. The most interesting development, though, is that the supercar will debut by the end of this month. Senior folks from the prancing horse have officially confirmed the hybrid supercar and some more intriguing details about the same.

Ferrari working on a new hybrid is no novel news as a 488 mule was spotted testing in Europe, but the debut set for later this month came as a complete surprise. For instance, the test mule spotted is based on a 488, but the upcoming supercar according to Ferrari will be a top-of-the-line hybrid with supercar performance and true beauty. The only feasible explanation is that the brand is keeping the vehicle design a secret, explaining the 488 mule story.

Back in February, Ferrari's chief technology officer Michael Leiters confirmed that the new hybrid will produce more power than the 488 Pista and that deliveries will begin from 2020. For reference, the track-focussed Pista itself makes 710PS and 770Nm of torque from its 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8.
