Hero Maestro Edge 125 And 2019 Pleasure Plus Launched

• Hero Maestro Edge 125 (FI) has been priced at Rs 62,700 (ex-showroom Delhi). 
• The 2019 Hero Pleasure has received a price tag of Rs 49,300 (ex-showroom Delhi). 
• Bookings of the Hero Maestro Edge 125 will start from 16 May 2019.
• Meanwhile, bookings of the 2019 Hero Pleasure+ will commence from the first week of June.

After much anticipation, Hero MotoCorp has launched the Maestro Edge 125 and the 2019 Pleasure+. The Maestro Edge 125 has been introduced in three variants - FI (Rs 62,700), i3S Disc (Rs 60,000) and i3S Drum (Rs 58,500). This makes it the first scooter in India to come equipped with fuel injection. However, it misses out on i3S, which is offered on the Carb variant.

Coming to the 2019 Hero Pleasure+, it has been introduced in two variants - Std (Rs 47,400) and Cast Wheel (Rs 49,300), making it Rs 4,200 dearer than the older generation model. (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Starting with the Hero Maestro Edge 125, as mentioned earlier, it is now India’s first scooter to come equipped with fuel injection. This will allow it to run much cleaner and abide by the upcoming BS6 norms. Additionally, the flagship Hero scooter now comes with top-shelf features such as semi-digital instrument cluster and an optional front disc (a first for any Hero scooter). 

Powering the scooter is the same engine as the Destini 125. However, this 124.6cc single-cylinder engine makes slightly more power at 9.24PS, compared to Destini's 8.8PS. Torque, however, remains unchanged at 10.2Nm of torque. We also expect it to carry a slightly sportier tune than the Destini 125. The Fi variant gets two colour options: White and Black. The Carb variant gets four paint schemes: Matte Blue, Matte Red, Matte Brown and Matte Grey.
It rivals the Honda Grazia, Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS NTorq.

Changes on the 2019 Pleasure+ are more focused towards keeping it relevant against its competition. The 110cc scooter comes with a slightly redesigned bodywork and a revised set of graphics. Hero has also introduced a wide range of colours on the Pleasure+: Black, Blue, White, Red, Matte Red, Matte Green and Matter Grey. Powering it is still the same 102cc single-cylinder engine which makes 7PS of power and 8.1Nm of torque. The 2019 Hero Pleasure will compete against the Honda Activa 5G and the TVS Jupiter Grande.
