Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Launched In India

Suzuki has finally launched the highly anticipated Gixxer SF 250 today at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 24,000 more affordable than its closest rival, the Honda CBR250R.

The Gixxer SF 250 is a brand new motorcycle from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer and features Suzuki’s new design language, which could soon trickle down to other motorcycles. In terms of features, it gets a new, angular LED headlamp and an LCD instrument cluster. It also gets clip-on handlebars and split seats, which should offer sportier riding ergonomics.

The Gixxer SF 250 employs an all-new air and oil-cooled 249cc single-cylinder engine which is developed specifically for the Gixxer SF 250. The motor produces 26.5PS and 22.6Nm of torque and comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The new Suzuki’s power output is similar to the Honda CBR250R, which produces 26.5PS and 22.9Nm of torque. It features a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends aided by dual-channel ABS. The new Gixxer SF 250 gets 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless radial tyres. With a wheelbase of 1345mm and radial tyres by, the new Gixxer SF 250 should be quite exciting around corners. The Gixxer SF 250 tips the scale at 161kg, which is 6kg less than the Honda CBR250R!
