Ex-Royal Enfield Boss Will Now Head BMW India
- Rudratej Singh will replace Dr Hans-Christian Baertels as President and CEO of BMW India.
- Rudratej, also known as Rudy, served as the President of Royal Enfield for four years.
- He has a combined experience of 25 years in both automotive and non-automotive industry.
In a rather interesting turn of events, Rudratej Singh, the former President of Royal Enfield, will be joining BMW India as President and CEO from August 1. He held his previous position with the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer for four years before leaving the company back in January this year.

He will now be responsible for all operations related to Mini, BMW Motorrad and other BMW brands in India. He has over 25 years of experience in both the automotive and non-automotive sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Hendrik Von Kuenheim, Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, BMW Group, said, "Having worked across diverse industry segments, Singh has a deep understanding of strategic business techniques based on fundamental consumer insights, a transformational leadership approach and fresh thinking that will strengthen BMW Group’s operations in India.”
A few months ago, Singh's former employer Royal Enfield also saw a major management reshuffle when Vinod K. Dasari was appointed to lead the operations of the company as CEO.
