The Maruti Suzuki-Toyota partnership is set to result in yet another badge-engineered product in the form of the Maruti Fronx-based Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor. The Taisor will feature some minor styling changes, similar to the ones on the Baleno-Glanza.
The 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol and 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine options will be carried over from the Fronx. Just like the Maruti SUV, the Toyota Taisor will also likely offer a CNG option with the 1.2-litre petrol engine. The crossover SUV is all set to make its debut on April 3.
Mahindra has been working on a mid-life update for its XUV300 for a long time, and the launch is now just around the corner. Apart from a major styling overhaul upfront and at the back, the sub-4-metre SUV will likely be equipped with a larger, free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with a fully digital instrument cluster. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (110hp or 131hp) and 1.5-litre diesel (117hp) will be carried over, but the former is expected to get a new torque converter automatic gearbox with its higher state of tune.
Following the launch of the Creta facelift and Creta N Line, Hyundai is now set to follow up with the Alcazar facelift with a launch expected in May or June. The styling updates on the Alcazar facelift will be on lines of the updated Creta, however, it is expected to feature unique bits and pieces. Along with a new dashboard with two digital displays, the Alcazar facelift will also get ADAS, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and more.
The three-row SUV will carry on with the 1.5-litre, turbo-petrol (160hp), and 1.5-litre diesel (115hp) engines, with manual and automatic gearbox options.
